We established a tiny label for the growing Vancil family of artists. With Ezra Vancil's growing body of work and the recently released debut from Ezra & Cozi (Ezra's daughter), Cozi anda Flounder, The Vancil's ever-growing music catalog was starting to get misplaced and lost in the shuffle of the internet age. The decision was made to create Nearhome in 2020 when Ezra walked away from yet another industry deal in search of something less constraining to his vision. 

This website exists solely to preserve and get the music of this prolific family to the souls who will appreciate all the hard life and hard work that went into making it. Our roster of artists is made up of the Vancil family of artists and also 'like-family' projects that we care deeply about. We're focused on bringing something new to folk, folk-rock, and Americana fans around the world.
